Take Action on Early Math Screening & Intervention

Now Is the Time to Act

Only 1 in 4 students from low-income communities are proficient in math. Early math screening and interventions are proven to improve math proficiency. Let's tell our representatives that this must be a policy priority.

California is facing not only an early math crisis, but an educational equity crisis. With only 26% of Latino students, 20% of Black students, and 11% of English learners performing at grade level in math, the need for action is urgent.

Early math screening gives teachers the tools to identify students who may need additional support before they fall behind.
